Art Buying Advice

You should buy art/pictures that you like. A lot of people are intimidated by so called “art experts” into buying pictures and art objects they simply don’t like. They end up buying something to please the “expert” and end up not very pleased with their decision. It is the same as ordering wine in a restaurant. GET WHAT YOU LIKE, not what the wine snob says you should get. If it pleases you to look at a picture of a garbage can then buy a picture of a garbage can. If you are into sports then buy sports art. If you like my St. Croix River Pictures then please buy one. The point is, you, the buyer needs to have an emotional connection to the art, not someone else.

My photographs are very good, high quality pictures. I wish they were for everyone, but, sadly, they aren’t. I photograph the St. Croix River Valley because it is my home, I know it well, I have an emotional connection to it, it is very beautiful, I want to share it with other people and hope they connect with the beauty and essence of my pictures enough to make a purchase.
