St. Croix River Island in Fall
Fall is an especially beautiful time of the year along the St. Croix River Valley. This photograph was made just as the sun rose over the river bluff on the Wisconsin (east) side of the river. The sunlight backlit the trees on this tiny island and made them glow with golden light.
