Fern and Tree Trunk, Interstate State Park, St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, June, 2002

Interstate State Park lies in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is bi-sected by the St. Croix River. I like the color contrast in this scene. This is one of those situations that make it worthwhile to take it slow. This is one of those intimate picture opportunities that so often get missed. I also like how the textures of the fern and tree trunk seem to complement each other.
